Former agent claims Dennis Man rejected Como before joining PSV amid reduced playing time

Former agent Giovanni Becali revealed that Dennis Man rejected a transfer to Como before joining PSV Eindhoven. Becali claimed he proposed the player to the Italian club, which expressed immediate interest in the deal.

Como offered 11 million euros for the transfer of the Romanian winger. Ioan Becali stated that Dennis Man's father rejected the move, considering Como a low-level team despite their recent success.

Como finished fourth in Serie A last season, placing them above AC Milan and Juventus. This result qualified the club for the UEFA Champions League, where they recently defeated Manchester United 4-1 under coach Cesc Fabregas.

Dennis Man joined PSV in August 2025 after five seasons at Parma. During his time in Italy between 2021 and 2025, he made 142 appearances in Serie B and Serie A, scoring 28 goals and providing 17 assists.

The winger won the Eredivisie title with PSV in the 2025–2026 season. His current contract with the Dutch club is set to expire on 30 June 2029.

Despite his previous success, Dennis Man has lost his starting place at PSV in the current season. He did not play in ten consecutive matches before returning to the starting lineup against ADO Den Haag.

Manager Peter Bosz substituted Man at halftime during the match against ADO Den Haag. The player also featured for only ten minutes each in matches against FC Porto and Feyenoord.

Man played limited minutes in the first three Eredivisie rounds, featuring for 21, 18, and 14 minutes respectively against Sittard, Excelsior, and Groningen. AZ Alkmaar defeated the defending champion PSV 4-0 in the Dutch Super Cup.

PSV announced that Sami Ouaissa suffered a serious injury recurrence and will be unavailable for several months. Ouaissa was transferred to PSV in the summer for nine million euros.
