Nicolae Stanciu signs with Universitatea Cluj and will return to Romania in January 2027
Nicolae Stanciu has agreed to a contract with Universitatea Cluj that runs until mid-2027, with an option for an additional year, and he will join the squad in January 2027 from Dalian Yingbo.

Nicolae Stanciu has signed a contract with Universitatea Cluj. The agreement was finalized approximately one month before 27 October 2026.
The deal is valid for one and a half years. It includes an option to extend the contract by one more year.
Stanciu will not join the team immediately. He is scheduled to arrive at Universitatea Cluj in January 2027.
Under the new terms, Stanciu will receive a monthly salary of 30,000 euros. He will also get a signing bonus of 100,000 euros.
Stanciu currently plays for Dalian Yingbo. He earns two million euros per season at his current club.
Laurențiu Reghecampf stated that he wanted Stanciu under his command. However, this move will not happen at least from this winter.
Stanciu left Romania in 2016. He has played only abroad since that time.
FCSB sold Stanciu to Anderlecht in the summer of 2016. The transfer fee was approximately 10 million euros.
Transfermarkt lists Stanciu’s market value at 1.8 million euros.
Stanciu is 33 years old. He has been playing for Dalian Yingbo since the beginning of 2026.
