FCSB has established a release clause of 50 million euros for young striker Alexandru Stoian. Club official Mihai Stoica confirmed the figure, stating that owner Gigi Becali implemented the clause. This valuation is identical to the one set for FCSB left-back Ricardo Pădurariu.
Stoian is 18 years old and has recently contributed decisive goals for the team. He scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory against Oțelul. He also found the net in a 2-1 win against FC Voluntari.
The striker faced health challenges prior to these matches. Stoian had Covid and was isolated from the team for three days before playing. Mihai Stoica stated that the player showed symptoms and trained separately for five days.
Mihai Stoica noted that Stoian needs to improve his cardio fitness. The official stated that the striker must reach a level where he can play full 90-minute matches consistently.
Looking ahead, FCSB is scheduled to play Rapid on Saturday at 21:00. This match is part of round 13. Gigi Becali announced that Stoian would serve as a substitute for Arnold Garita in this fixture.
Mihai Stoica praised Arnold Garita for his recent performances. The official noted that the 31-year-old kept possession well and did not lose duels. Stoica also expressed confidence in the national team prospects of Alexandru Stoian. He stated that he sees Stoian and Louis Munteanu playing together for the national side in the near future.
