FCSB forward Arnold Garita faces month-long absence after knee injury

FCSB forward Arnold Garita suffered a knee injury during the club's 4-1 victory over Rapid in the 13th round of the SuperLigă. The incident occurred in the 42nd minute, leading to his substitution by Alexandru Stoian after a duel with Lars Kramer.

Medical investigations indicated that Garita sustained a ligament stretch in one knee. Reports suggest the injury will keep him out of action for approximately one month. Trumedia estimates his return could occur at the end of November 2026 if recovery proceeds as expected.

The absence means Garita will miss several upcoming fixtures. He is confirmed to miss the Cupa României match against Gloria Bistrița on 29 October and the SuperLiga round 14 away match against Universitatea on 2 November. Further reports indicate he may also miss league matches against Corvinul Hunedoara on 7 November, FC Argeș on 21-22 November, and Csikszereda on 28-29 November.

Garita has made nine appearances for FCSB this season, recording one goal and one assist. His first goal for the club came in a 2-1 victory over FC Voluntari. Transfermarkt lists his market value at 700,000 euros.

The injury comes amid speculation regarding Garita's future at the club. His loan from Shenzhen Juniors is set to expire at the end of 2026, making his departure almost certain. Risto Radunovic and Valentin Crețu also have contracts expiring on 31 December.

FCSB owner Gigi Becali announced plans to strengthen the squad during the winter break. He stated the club aims to make at least three transfers, targeting a central midfielder, a number 10, and a striker. This follows criticism of Garita's technique by Adrian Mutu after the match with Rapid.
