Dinamo Bucharest will be without striker Alexandru Musi for several weeks as he recovers from meniscus surgery. The 22-year-old forward is currently unavailable for selection in the Romanian Superliga, where Dinamo holds the top position. Reports indicate that Musi is expected to be absent until the end of November 2026.
The injury required surgical intervention in September 2026. This procedure caused Musi to miss a call-up to the Romania youth national team, despite his inclusion in Gică Hagi's extended list for Nations League matches. Recovery from the operation began on 12 September, with initial estimates suggesting an absence of over two months.
Musi last featured for Dinamo on 5 September 2026. He played in the 2-1 derby victory against his former club FCSB. Before sustaining the injury, he had made eight appearances in the current season, contributing four goals and one assist. His total career record for Dinamo stands at 47 matches, 12 goals, and seven assists.
Dinamo coach Nuno Campos addressed the situation on 15 October. He confirmed that Musi and teammate George Pușcaș were in recovery. Campos stated that the medical staff would not rush their return to action. The club transferred Musi from FCSB in 2025, and Transfermarkt currently lists his market value at 1.8 million euros.
During Musi's absence, Dinamo faces a congested fixture list. The team is scheduled to play CFR Cluj on 25 October at 19:00. They will also face Chindia Târgoviște in the Cupa României, followed by a league match against FC Argeș on 7 November. Other upcoming opponents include UTA.
There is uncertainty regarding the exact date of Musi's return. Some reports suggest he may only be available for the first round of the second half of the season. However, other sources indicate he might return for the match against Petrolul. This fixture is scheduled for the weekend of 21-22 November, shortly after the international break.
