Universitatea Craiova secured a victory against Inter Escaldes in the second round of the UEFA Conference League. The match took place as part of the European campaign for the Romanian side. Al Hamlawi, Ștefan Baiaram, and Elisor scored goals for Universitatea Craiova during the fixture. This result contributed to the team's standing in the competition.

The club has accumulated four points from its first two matches in the UEFA Conference League. This total reflects the outcomes of the opening fixtures in the group stage or qualifying rounds. The performance against Inter Escaldes was a key component of this early return.

Ilie Dumitrescu provided analysis on the performance of Ștefan Baiaram. He stated that the player's game has progressed recently. This observation comes amid discussions about the forward's form and confidence levels at Universitatea Craiova. Dumitrescu highlighted the visible improvements in Baiaram's play.

Interest in Ștefan Baiaram was present during the summer transfer window. PAOK was reported to be interested in signing the player. The Greek club pursued the acquisition of the Universitatea Craiova forward during that period.

Elvir Koljic commented on the potential move to PAOK. He stated that the transfer was close but ultimately failed to materialize. This account suggests that negotiations reached an advanced stage before collapsing. The player remained with Universitatea Craiova for the current season.
