Spanish media have identified Radomir Koković, the manager of FK Železničar Pančevo, as a candidate for the head coaching position at UD Las Palmas. Reports indicate that contacts have been made to determine if the Serbian coach is interested in taking charge of the team, which currently sits in the lower part of the Segunda division table.

The vacancy at Las Palmas arose following the dismissal of Ruben de la Barera. The former coach was relieved of his duties after only ten matches in charge, during which the team secured three victories. Club officials are reportedly drawn to Koković due to his tactical approach, which emphasizes high pressing and building attacks from the defensive line.

According to reports, this proactive style of play is similar to that advocated by Eder Sarabija, who previously achieved success at Elche before leaving the club at the end of the last season. The presence of Željko Cicović, a former long-serving goalkeeper for the Canary Islands club, on the Las Palmas board may also facilitate connections.

Any potential move faces contractual hurdles, as Koković is under contract with FK Železničar Pančevo until 2028. Sports director Bojan Šaranov has stated that the club would demand significant compensation for their manager. Koković is represented by agent Andy Bara, who maintains strong ties within Spanish football.

Koković has garnered attention for his work in Pančevo, where he transformed the club's identity and led them to their first European qualification. In the current season, the team is performing well, holding fourth place in the table after winning four of their last five matches.
