Čukarički secured a victory against Zemun in the previous round of the Mozzart Bet Superliga, improving morale after a period of poor results. Despite this success, the club has not yet named a successor to former head coach Marko Jakšić.
Mihajlo Trajković, the current coach of the club's youth team, took charge of the senior squad for the match against Zemun. According to sources speaking to Mozzart Sport, Trajković is expected to lead the team again during their upcoming away fixture at Humska against Partizan Belgrade.
This match represents a significant opportunity for Trajković. Reports indicate that an encouraging result or performance could serve as a ticket for him to remain as the head coach for a longer period. While not framed as an ultimatum, the game offers a chance for Trajković to earn a permanent promotion from the youth categories to the first team.
Trajković holds a PRO coaching license, a detail that may strengthen his candidacy for the role. Although rumors have circulated suggesting former Partizan strategist Aleksandar Stanojević could take the position, the report describes such a move as unfeasible.
Trajković developed his coaching career at Voždovac, where he worked with youth teams and served on the first-team staff alongside several coaches. He later managed the Voždovac senior team for three Superliga matches in May 2024 before joining Čukarički.
