NK Maribor has completed twelve league matches in the current season without recording a defeat, establishing a record of six wins and six draws. This performance places the club among the elite European sides maintaining such lengthy unbeaten streaks at the start of the campaign.

While the team led by manager Darko Milanič has not lost a league game, they did suffer a 2-1 exit against Korotan in the second round of the Pokal pivovarne Union. The domestic cup defeat occurred separately from their ongoing league success.

According to data from Football Meets Data, only The New Saints in Wales currently hold a longer unbeaten run, having secured twelve wins and one draw in thirteen matches. In Serbia, Crvena zvezda, managed by former Celja and Olimpija coach Albert Riera, also recorded twelve unbeaten games with eleven wins and one draw.

Other notable European clubs with eleven-match unbeaten starts include Slavia Prague, Slavia Sofia and Legia Warsaw. Across the continent, forty-two teams remain undefeated in their leagues, provided they have contested at least five matches.
