Slovenian football calendar: how the season fits together

PrvaLiga in 2026–27: the league programme, season stages and how to read fixture dates alongside cup and European commitments.

Season 2026–27 · Reviewed

The league programme

Slovenia’s PrvaLiga has ten clubs and a 36-round programme. Every opponent is met four times, with two home and two away meetings. The NZS competition calendar uses the label 1. SNL for the top flight; its adjacent columns refer to other competitions and age groups.

How the season is divided

Use the 2026–27 season column and the 1. SNL row when reading the federation’s calendar. A youth international, second-tier round or cup appointment in the same week is not a PrvaLiga fixture. The official competition programme is the reference for the actual clubs and match appointments.

What to check before following a fixture

There is no championship/survival split after two meetings with each opponent. Rounds in the third and fourth cycles still contribute to one final league table. A rearranged fixture can leave clubs with different numbers of games played, so position alone does not show whether their schedules are equally complete.
