Korona Kielce has parted ways with head coach Jacek Zieliński following a defeat to Lech Poznań. The club confirmed that Zieliński was relieved of his coaching duties, marking the end of his tenure with the team.

Sports director Paweł Golański addressed the decision in an interview with TVP Sport, stating that the Sunday match in Poznań was a decisive factor but not the sole reason. Golański emphasized that he does not tolerate mediocrity and expressed clear dissatisfaction with the results achieved by the team during the current season.

The club issued a statement thanking Zieliński for his engagement and effort in developing Korona Kielce, while wishing him success and all the best for the future. This formal acknowledgment concluded the professional relationship between the coach and the organization.

Context for the dismissal includes earlier statements from Golański in mid-September, where he outlined ambitions for top positions in the Ekstraklasa following a summer transfer offensive. He had previously asserted that the squad was strengthened with high-quality players and that expectations were significantly higher than in previous years.

Despite these ambitions, Korona Kielce currently occupies ninth place in the league table after eleven matches of the 2026/27 season. As of the announcement, the club has not named a successor to take over the head coaching role from Zieliński.
