SK Kladno suffered their first home league defeat of the season, falling 3-2 to FK Česká Lípa in a match where the hosts dominated possession and shooting statistics. Kladno held 69 percent of the ball and recorded 25 total shots compared to just six for the visitors, yet failed to convert their advantage into a result. The loss narrowed the gap between the two sides in the table to a single point.
Manager Zdeněk Hašek attributed the defeat to individual errors and a decline in player mentality. He stated that some squad members had lost their humility and work ethic during the preparation week. Hašek expressed particular disappointment with the performance of substitute players and noted that the team was now fighting for relegation survival rather than competing for a top-six finish.
The match featured significant defensive blunders from Kladno. Jakub Chalupa, on loan from Viktoria Plzeň, scored an own goal and later conceded a penalty. Hašek criticized Chalupa for a careless dribble in midfield that led to the own goal, while defender Martin Toml described his contribution to the incident as unlucky after deflecting the ball into his teammate.
Česká Lípa took an early lead through Ladislav Dufek in the third minute before retreating into a defensive shape. Kladno created opportunities, including a lob by Tomáš Smejkal that struck the post. Hašek highlighted such missed chances as critical errors, stating that the team’s statistical dominance in possession and territory was rendered useless by their inability to score.
