FCSB owner Gigi Becali stated that the club will sign at least three new players during the upcoming winter transfer window. This announcement followed a decisive 4-1 victory over Rapid in the 13th round of the Romanian Superliga.
The win marked the third consecutive victory for FCSB under coach Laurențiu Reghecampf. Boutoutaou scored the second goal in the match, contributing to the team's improved form on the pitch.
Despite the positive result, FCSB remains sixth in the SuperLiga table with 21 points. The team sits six points behind Rapid and eight points behind league leader Dinamo. Dinamo has played one fewer match than FCSB.
Becali expressed his intent to raise the level of Romanian football by forcing rival clubs to invest in their own transfers. He described the current state of the domestic game as weak and cited the low level of competition as a concern.
The owner identified several notable teams in the league, including Dinamo, Rapid, Craiova, U Cluj, and Petrolul. He suggested that increased investment from these clubs would benefit the overall quality of the sport in Romania.
Regarding specific targets, Becali mentioned Drăguș as a player whose arrival would improve the squad. He indicated that signing such a player would help create value for the team and support their title ambitions.
Becali warned against complacency despite the recent derby success. He emphasized that the fight for the title had been relaunched and that the club must continue to strengthen its roster to compete effectively.
