Eintracht Frankfurt is reportedly navigating a period of crisis and exploring potential solutions, including the possibility of recruiting reinforcements from Poland. The Bundesliga club has struggled early in the campaign, prompting speculation about significant structural changes within the organization.

Central to these potential changes is the future of sporting director Markus Kroesche. According to reports from Bild, Kroesche’s position is increasingly uncertain, with expectations that he could depart within the coming weeks or months. Although his contract runs for nearly two more years, sources indicate the likelihood of him fulfilling this term is minimal, with a departure anticipated by the end of the winter transfer window at the latest.

As the club searches for a successor, Fredi Bobic, the current sporting director at Legia Warsaw, has emerged as a candidate. Bobic, who previously served as Eintracht Frankfurt’s sporting director from 2016 to 2021 before being succeeded by Kroesche, recently visited Frankfurt. He was present in the city working as a television expert for Sky during the team’s 1-0 victory over FC Cologne.

Bobic is not the only name linked to the role. Other reported candidates include Jiotis Chatzialexiou from Nuremberg, Christopher Spycher from Young Boys Bern, and Pirmina Schwegler from Wolfsburg. The search for new leadership comes as Eintracht Frankfurt sits in 11th place in the Bundesliga table with eight points from their first six matches.
