Construction work on the new Dinamo stadium resumed in early October 2026 after a six-month suspension. The restart was marked by the arrival of the first drilling rig for support piles at the site in Ștefan cel Mare.

The National Investment Company approved a supplement of 28.6 million lei requested by the constructor to allow the project to continue. This financial approval followed a period where the project was suspended due to cost reevaluation.

Vehicle access to the Dinamo Sports Park was restricted starting 20 October 2026. CS Dinamo announced that from this date, only staff vehicles are allowed access to the Dinamo Sports Complex.

Upcoming construction stages include demolishing Tribune 1, Tribune 0, and part of the South Stand. Work will also involve consolidation efforts from Calea Floreasca.

Prosport.ro states that the constructor will install support piles to protect nearby buildings. This measure includes protection for the Floreasca Emergency Hospital.

The new Dinamo arena is designed to have 26,217 seats and will be UEFA homologated. FC Dinamo, a Liga 1 team, will be able to rent the new CS Dinamo arena once it is ready.

The stadium will feature four dressing rooms and two warm-up halls. VIP facilities will include 12 boxes and a hospitality area of at least 400 square meters.

A dedicated VIP parking lot will provide up to 200 spaces. These features are part of the broader design for the multifunctional arena.

Sector 2 City Hall will finance the Dinamo Multifunctional Arena with 25 million euros. This contribution supports the overall budget for the project.

Reports on the total projected cost of the stadium vary. Digi Sport states the new Dinamo stadium is projected to cost approximately 117,000,000 euros, while Golazo reports a projection of 177 million euro. The initial estimate for the Dinamo Multifunctional Arena was 172,000,000 euros before cost reevaluation caused the suspension.

Work on the new Dinamo stadium originally commenced on 19 January 2026. Golazo reports that the new stadium is expected to be completed in 2029.
