Bogdan Lobonț compares Corvinul winger Nicolae Pîrvulescu to Rodrigo Taddei

Bogdan Lobonț identified Nicolae Pîrvulescu as a standout player in the current Superliga season during an interview on VOYO Sport Live. The former international goalkeeper highlighted the Corvinul Hunedoara winger for his unique approach to the game.

Lobonț drew a direct comparison between Pîrvulescu and Brazilian midfielder Rodrigo Taddei. He noted that Pîrvulescu resembles the style Taddei displayed during his tenure at AS Roma between 2005 and 2014.

The analyst emphasized that very few players in the Romanian top flight attack free space with the same effectiveness as Pîrvulescu. This specific tactical trait was cited as a key reason for the high praise.

Pîrvulescu is 29 years old and plays as a left winger for the newly promoted side. This campaign marks his first experience in the first league, having previously represented Pandurii, U Cluj, and Concordia Chiajna.

He has been registered with Corvinul since the summer of 2022. During his time with the club, he helped the team win the Romanian Cup and participate in European competitions before their recent promotion.

Coach Florin Maxim has relied on Pîrvulescu heavily this season. The winger started in 10 of the 13 Superliga rounds played so far, establishing himself as a regular fixture in the starting lineup.

In terms of output, Pîrvulescu has recorded two goals and one assist in the first 13 stages of the season. These contributions have come during a period where the team has adjusted to top-flight competition.

Statistical data from Wyscout provides further context to his performance. The platform lists his expected goals value at 4.54, indicating he has missed six big chances during this period.

His crossing accuracy stands at 31.9 percent, with 15 successful crosses from 47 attempts. In one-on-one situations, he completed 39 of 52 dribbles, showing strong ball-carrying ability.

Pîrvulescu also engaged in 200 duels throughout the season. He won 47.5 percent of these physical contests, demonstrating competitiveness in both offensive and defensive phases of play.
