Viktoria Plzeň lost 1:2 at home to Levski in the third round of the Europa League group stage.

Head coach Radoslav Kovach stated that individual defensive errors cost his team points in the match against Levski.

Kovach claimed that Levski created only two chances during the game and scored two goals. He described these goals as gifts from Viktoria Plzeň due to defensive lapses.

The defeat contributed to a poor defensive record for Viktoria Plzeň in the competition. The team has conceded seven goals in their first three Europa League matches.

Defensive issues have extended beyond the European campaign. Viktoria Plzeň kept only one clean sheet in their last seven official matches.

Kovach also criticized striker Kabongo following the match. The coach noted that Kabongo did not stay in the penalty area despite scoring a goal.

Viktoria Plzeň now shifts focus to domestic competitions. The next priority is a league match against Pardubice scheduled for Sunday.

The team aims to achieve a third consecutive victory in the league championship with this fixture.

Following the league game, a national cup match is scheduled for Wednesday.
