Slaven Belupo suffered a heavy defeat against Dinamo Zagreb in the domestic league, losing by a score of 1-5. The match took place recently and resulted in a significant gap on the scoreboard between the two sides.
Head coach Silvijo Čabraja addressed the media after the game and expressed his disappointment with the result. He acknowledged the performance of the opposition and offered congratulations to Dinamo Zagreb for their victory, describing it as deserved.
Čabraja provided analysis of the tactical aspects of the match. He stated that he had predicted 90 percent of the Dinamo lineup before the game. This prediction included the opponent's decision to deploy two defensive midfielders in their formation.
Despite this preparation, the coach noted that it did not help his team secure a positive result. He identified specific defensive problems within his squad during the match. Čabraja explained that Slaven Belupo allowed Dinamo to move the ball with ease throughout the contest.
The structure of the Slaven Belupo team deteriorated significantly as the game progressed. Čabraja pointed out that the side completely fell apart after conceding the fourth goal. This moment marked a turning point where the defensive organization collapsed further.
In addition to the tactical and performance issues, the club faces a personnel problem. Marko Dabro has sustained an injury during this period. The medical assessment indicates that he will be unavailable for selection for three to four weeks.
