Dinamo Zagreb has rejected an offer from Spanish club Real Betis for forward Dion Drena Beljo. The Croatian side has demanded a higher fee for the player. This development was reported by Turkish insider Ekrem Konur via Germanijak.
Konur stated that Real Betis submitted a bid of 20 million euros for Beljo. Dinamo Zagreb refused this amount. The club is now asking for more money to approve the transfer.
According to Konur, Dinamo Zagreb has requested 25 million euros for the forward. This figure is reported as uncertain. It represents the price the club allegedly wants to receive for the sale.
Beljo has recorded strong statistics during his time at Dinamo Zagreb. He has scored 53 goals and provided 15 assists in 63 appearances for the club. These figures highlight his productive form.
A transfer fee of 25 million euros would place Beljo among the most expensive sales in the history of Dinamo Zagreb. Excluding bonuses, this amount would make him the fourth largest sale for the club.
If potential bonuses are included, the deal could rank among the top three transfers in the club's history. This ranking remains uncertain as it depends on future add-ons.
Josip Gvardiol holds the record for the highest sale from Dinamo Zagreb. His transfer generated 36.80 million euros including bonuses. This figure remains the benchmark for the club's outgoing transfers.
Other clubs have also shown interest in signing Beljo. Roma and Como are reportedly monitoring the situation. Their level of interest is noted as uncertain in current reports.
