The professional registration periods
FIFA’s Croatia snapshot lists 27 June to 7 September 2026 and 10 January to 17 February 2027 as the professional periods. HNS publishes registration documentation and COMET instructions separately; the announcement of a signing and completion of its administrative registration are different events.

The local detail that matters
HNS’s document collection includes distinct procedures for first registrations, new registrations, contracts and releases. A listing of a registration outside the main professional window is not proof that the window has been extended: the player’s status and the applicable exception must be established.

Agreed, signed and registered are different stages
A reported agreement describes negotiations; a club announcement confirms what that club has stated. Neither should automatically be described as clearance to play. For an international move, identify the receiving club and its association, the player’s professional status and whether the necessary registration has been confirmed. Exceptions require their own supporting rule; “free agent” is not enough on its own to establish eligibility.
Keep the football context in view
Read the latest transfer reporting alongside the league schedule. A signing can arrive after the campaign has started, while a player registered during winter may join before league fixtures resume. These pages cover football context for readers; the federation’s current decisions remain the operational reference for clubs.
