GNK Dinamo Zagreb has identified Oscar Garcia as its primary candidate to replace interim manager Jerko Leko. Garcia currently manages Polish club Pogoń Szczecin, where he has been in charge since the summer and holds a valid three-year contract without a buyout clause.

According to Polish journalist Mateusz Borek, Dinamo Zagreb made contact regarding Garcia’s services, but Pogoń Szczecin rejected the approach. Borek initially reported that Dinamo had offered three million euros for the coach, citing authorization from Pogoń owner Alex Haditaghi to publish the information.

Borek subsequently issued a correction, stating that Haditaghi did not confirm a specific three million euro offer was received. Instead, the owner indicated that Pogoń Szczecin would not release Garcia even for that sum. Haditaghi also conveyed that Garcia is content in Szczecin and has no desire to leave the club.

In the interim, Jerko Leko is expected to lead Dinamo Zagreb for upcoming matches against Sunderland and Varaždin. The Croatian club faces pressure to appoint a permanent head coach during the upcoming international break, though the financial implications of securing Garcia remain unclear given his contractual status.
