The Croatia women's national football team has retained its 63rd position on the new FIFA rankings, according to reports. This stability comes despite the team suffering two convincing defeats against Iceland in World Cup qualifiers earlier in the month.
In the first match of the double-header, Croatia lost 0-4 in Pula. The team subsequently traveled to Reykjavik, where they were defeated 0-5 by Iceland. These results occurred during the recent window for World Cup qualifying fixtures.
At the summit of the global standings, world champions Spain continue to hold the top spot with a significant lead. The United States remains in second place, while Germany occupies the third position in the rankings.
Meanwhile, Iceland improved its standing in the latest update. The Icelandic team moved up one place and is now ranked 16th in the world following their victories over Croatia.
