The professional registration periods
FIFA’s Hungary snapshot lists a summer professional period beginning on 15 June and ending on 3 September 2026, followed by 15 January to 14 February 2027. These dates concern the men’s professional calendar; they should not be replaced with a regional amateur notice.

The local detail that matters
MLSZ’s registration rules distinguish professional, amateur and youth procedures. In particular, a notice allowing amateur moves from July does not move the professional opening date to July. For an NB I signing, check professional registration and match eligibility before describing the player as available for selection.

Agreed, signed and registered are different stages
A reported agreement describes negotiations; a club announcement confirms what that club has stated. Neither should automatically be described as clearance to play. For an international move, identify the receiving club and its association, the player’s professional status and whether the necessary registration has been confirmed. Exceptions require their own supporting rule; “free agent” is not enough on its own to establish eligibility.
Keep the football context in view
Read the latest transfer reporting alongside the league schedule. A signing can arrive after the campaign has started, while a player registered during winter may join before league fixtures resume. These pages cover football context for readers; the federation’s current decisions remain the operational reference for clubs.
