Viktoria Plzeň striker Moses Adu returned to competitive action by starting for the club’s reserve team in a third-tier match on Sunday. He trained with the reserve squad from Tuesday before taking his place in the starting lineup. Adu played for 72 minutes during the fixture.
The reserve team secured a 3-0 victory against Prague side Aritma. Jan Kopic scored two goals for Plzeň, and Florián Višňa added one more to complete the scoring.
Assistant coach Mikula addressed the situation by stating that Adu has not been excluded from the first-team squad. Mikula described the decision to have Adu train with the reserves as a choice made by the coaching staff. He noted that future developments regarding the player’s role remain unclear.
Speculation had suggested that Adu faced a forced stay with the reserve team until the winter break. Reports indicate that his future with the club remains uncertain despite the clarification from the coaching staff.
