FK Komárno has dismissed head coach Csaba Czibor and four other staff members. The decision comes after the team dropped to the bottom of the league table.

Csaba Czibor had previously served as an assistant before being appointed temporary head coach in April 2026, replacing Mikuláš Radványi. He successfully kept the team in the top division by winning a two-leg match against Zvolen and subsequently agreed to extend his contract with the club.

However, the 2026/2027 season began poorly for Komárno, with the team failing to secure a single victory. A recent home defeat to Ružomberok, ending 0:1, confirmed their position at the bottom of the standings in 12th place.

The club currently trails AS Trenčín by two points. Their next match in the Niké liga is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, against Trenčín.
