AEK Athens is set to face Manchester City in the third matchday of the Champions League League Phase. The match is scheduled for 20 October 2026 at 22:00 at Etihad Stadium.

The Greek side arrives in Manchester following a defeat to Shakhtar in London six days prior to this fixture.

Manager Marco Nikolić selected a 4-4-2 formation for the starting lineup.

Barnioli started in goal for AEK Athens. The defensive line consisted of Rota, Moundi, Relvas and Pilios.

In midfield, Arriaga started alongside Marin. This appearance marked the first start for Arriaga in the Champions League.

Mayer took his position on the right wing. João Mário was preferred on the left side of the attack.

Strakosha was excluded from the squad due to an injury.

The available substitutes for AEK Athens included Balamotis, Kairinen, Gacinovic, Zoubkov, Koita, Mantalos, Vida, Lykogiannis, Vitalis and Zini.
