Cristian Chivu faces a midfield decision at Inter following reports that Curtis Jones has suffered an adductor injury. Digi Sport, citing football-italia.net, says the English midfielder is expected to miss the coming weeks ahead of the Serie A meeting with Parma.

According to that report, Jones underwent a medical examination on Thursday morning. The suggested absence is three to four weeks, described as the most likely estimate rather than a confirmed return date.

Chivu has several alternatives in the same account. Piotr Zielinski, Petar Sucic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Aleksandar Stankovic are all mentioned as players who could take on the vacant midfield role.

Digi Sport also relays La Gazzetta dello Sport’s assessment that Sucic is the favourite to replace Jones against Parma. That is a reported selection expectation. The account does not establish Chivu’s final starting line-up, so the alternatives remain options rather than confirmed starters.
