Trenčín coach Daňovský rates draw as favorable outcome and praises goalkeeper Katić

AS Trenčín coach Daňovský assessed the recent match by stating that the draw represented a more favorable outcome for his team than for the home side. He indicated that the visitors could be satisfied to leave the stadium with a point given the flow of the game.

Reflecting on the team's performance, Daňovský pointed to issues in the midfield where unnecessary turnovers occurred. He noted that the team lost simple balls shortly after regaining possession, which disrupted their rhythm and allowed the opponents to gain control.

According to the coach, Trenčín gradually ceded the initiative to the home team. The hosts began to pose significant threats, particularly through standard situations, putting pressure on the visiting defense throughout the latter stages of the match.

In an effort to counter this trend, the coaching staff implemented a tactical change on the wing during the break. The aim was to revitalize the offensive play on the right flank, but Daňovský admitted that the desired impact was not achieved.

Despite the tactical struggles, Daňovský singled out goalkeeper Katić for praise. He highlighted Katić's very good performance and noted that the goalkeeper maintained a clean sheet, which was crucial in securing the result for AS Trenčín.
